Christmas Spirit

In the Christmas spirit I created a page to get in the mood for more Christmas themed pages. This page did take quite a while to create but overall has an awesome affect. I traced a large dinner plate onto a piece of white Bazzil cardstock and then started covering it with everything Christmas I had. I used nearly every button in red and green I had with bits and pieces in the circle to look like a Christmas wreath. The outside of the page is inked in green and red.
  • Bright green Sassafras and foiled red Thicker alphas
  • My Little Shoebox white alphas
  • Green Tara flowers, holly, roses, leaves and a wreath
  • Christmas Fabric from Spotlight
  • Assorted buttons
  • Bella! red bow
  • Birch red trim
  • Vandoras green spotted ribbon
  • Felt heart, circle and flower
  • Kaiser red and green rhinestones
  • Kindy Glitz- Crystalina
  • Red, green and cream DMC or Anchor thread
  • Black pen
  • Dew Drops- Pearlescent Lime and Rocket Red ink
  • Bazzil Cardstock, Bazzil Bling Cardstock
  • Assorted Christmas bits and pieces

Yesterday we had a baby chicken born. One of our hens was clucky, as we don’t have a rooster the eggs weren’t fertile. A couple of eggs were borrowed from the neighbour to see if she could possibly hatch a baby. One egg hatched, its the cutest fluff-ball with little black spots. As mumma hen is protective it was quite hard to try and get a photo but here are some I tried to get

And here is little Molly laying about on my scrapbooking stuff

Scrappin

Ive been scrapping to get as many pages as I can done.
Here are the last few in the past few days.
The backing card is Bazzil cardstock with the photos matted in Kraft. A whole piece of Echo Park brown houndstooth paper ripped in half and a piece of each page is used. One page has to 5x7 photos with the other having three 5x4 with the middle one trimmed to fit on the page. The ends of a smaller piece of Bazzil scalloped card is under the houndstooth paper on each page also.  Journalling also printed on Kraft with the font ‘CK Journalling’ The journalling is over the top of one brown scalloped card. Both pages have a light brown piece of natural looking ribbon with thin string tied around it and into a bow. On the left page I have used Jenni Bowlin studio Banner stickers, over the top of these are bright green Sassafras letters. On each end of the banner is a small piece of ribbon stapled onto the page. On the right page is where the main title is, the letters used are bright green Sassafras, brown Rose and Moka, green Basic Grey and white Thicker letters. These are on the top of Blossies Journalling helper tags, next to this is a green doily and a large Collections chipboard swirl. I have inked this slightly in Dew Drops ‘Sahara Sand’ ink. On the swirl is a Green Tara flower with a little starfish in the centre. As i have tried t put something on both pages the left page also has a flourish but smaller with another star fish next to it.

And heres the double spread

And heres another one

Beachin It

I started with a light aqua piece of card and wanted to use the We R Memory Keepers ‘Hippity Doily’ die cut. A smaller piece of We R Memory Keepers paper is also used; a green strip which I have folded up along the bottom of the page. The photo is matted in pink and then in orange, lately I have been double matting, It give that extra bit of colour and as I usually use larger photos it gives the illusion of a bigger photo. I wanted to create a beginners page without the typical add a few embellishments and a photo. I wanted to use more stuff! Three Green Tara flowers used with a We R Memory Keepers embossed die-cut. I have also used a pink Green Tara sprig next to the photo. The title is Making Memories noteworthy alphas. Another part of the layout is the large orange flourish, I painted it in two coats of Kaiser Colour paint ‘Mango’ inked with Versa Mark and then coated in Stamp Worlds embossing powder- Iridescent sparkle. At the top of the flourish i have tied a tag with a large brad and flower on it. To finish off the page an orange spotted satin Vandoras ribbon is tied into a bow with a metal tag through one part of it. The flowers and die cut was then coated in Kindy Glitz.

Black lace is from spotlight along with the large silver 18 key. Kaiser purple ribbon is tied in two places on the silver key. Title is a small rub on from Kaiser.

Farewell Blossies

Yesterday was the last day of Blossies :( Good luck to Annette and hope she conquers every endeavour.

Also Ive got some great news!

I’m going to start very soon as a Scrapbooking teacher at Scrappers Paradise on Bribie Island. I have to sort out classes and keep scrapping up new ideas!
This one will be a beginners class as its simple but effective.

So Alike
This one is one of the simplest pages I’ve done in quite a while. I started with a My Little shoebox die cut with a piece cut off the side and a piece used on the top of the page. The photo is matted in watermelon and then in brown. At the top of the page there is a pink flower with a button in the centre, then a piece of lace gathered and a yellow October Afternoon journalling sticker. Under the photo is a large flower white i have glimmermisted in orange, and then a pink doily over the top. Next to this is a flower with a button in the centre. A large piece of lace with the title in Bella Blvd pink letters distressed with sand paper. Backing piece is Kraft.
