Ribbon-tastic!!!

Just finished this page, many many many ribbons!!!
I cut out a frame from some chipboard and then started tieing ribbons of every colour and pattern onto it. Three tie-die flowers used with different buttons in each. Three photos are used but are all matted in a different colour (note:buttons are of the same colours as the matted card; purple, green and orange)
Title is the new Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers, hot pink colour. Journalling done in just a black pen.
Nothing else used as the ribbons were busy enough, it only took me 3 1/2 hours to do all the tieing!!!Heres a close up of one corner

Dear Santa....

Everybody has it, the left over papers, ribbons and bits from last years Christmas juts sitting in your stash wasting away. It's time to get them out and make way for all the new Christmas Stuff! Heres two layouts just finished off today with leftover bits.

XMAS PIK:
Papers used; An old Kaiser paper with the gold just one from Blossies last year and a page from the dictionary with the words Christmas etc
Ribbons; Gold ribbon from a gift again from last Christmas with the reds some from my stash stappled at each end twice, knots of ribbon also stappled to page
Cute little felt reindeer is a buy from Myers Christmas Range, it was a Christmas Decoration but I cut off the strap and used it for scrapbooking instead, red rhinestones are on some parts of the reindeer
For the journalling a Kaiser stamp was used from the Doodled Christmas range.Heres a close up of the reindeer...

DEAR SANTA, HAVE I BEEN A GOOD GIRL?
The same papers as the last layout have been used but no ribbon this time. Instead last years Christmas fabrics have been used to make suffolk puffs and a brad added to the centre. There are three prints, one with candy canes, one with trees and one with Christmas mits full of goodies. The title is random letters from my stash but have been crackled. Gold is added first then crackle medium with a red paint over the top. I've written the rest in a black pen.Edge of page has been inked with gold ink.

Heres a close up of the suffolk puffs and the heart that has also been crackled with a little reindeer resin sticker. Paper had been folded through the heart.

Simple New Layout

One of the lastest layouts; first of all a piece of pink bazzill for the backing with a Bella stitched die-cut piece of card on top, showing the underneath colour through the holes in the card. Photos matted in the same colour as the backing piece, with the journalling circle aswell. Title is using self-adhesive Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers in a hot pink colour! First ribbon is one from Blossies, it has the words: companions...buddies...partners...sidekicks...pals...friends...playmates... This was perfect as the photos are of good times with friends. The other ribbons are ones from my stash, both are tied in a knot at one end for something different. The friendship ribbon is also tied through three holes on the bottom of the page. Three flowers are used, they are new at Blossies and are of a tie-die colour,I think they are great! In the centre of two of the flowers are fabric suffolk things. (Think thats what they are called) Its where you cut out a circle in a piece of fabric and stitch around the edge and then gather it up by pulling on the thread. Pink buttons are in the centre of those with another button in the centre of the other flower.

This is the last Christmas card for the year! Paper is one of the many from Kaiser, a snowflake pattern with blues and creams with hints of hot pink and green. The "Merry Christmas" is a rub-on another Kaiser find. Bazzil card is used for the main piece. Three flowers used with a button added to the centre. Ribbon tied around the piece of card and then a swirl chipboard piece inked and put on the card. Two corners have had the corner punch used.

New Layouts

Using the nearly-new Kaiser Waterberry range of pinks and light aqua, this is the latest layout of mine. The large piece from 'Heavenly' was cut out and put onto a piece of aqua bazzil card. Carefully cut out flowers from the 'Enticing' paper, added buttons and other flowers behind to build up the flowers. The largest flower is two seperate flowers, one put on top of the other. Ribbons were folded and put under some of the flowers also. Three pieces of the other paper, 'Delicious', 'Luscious' and 'Heavenly' are slid under the photo, photo is matted with a bazzil watermelon colour. One stip of the stripe paper is along the bottom and Turquiose pearls added to centre of flowers and the photo. Extra buttons added arund the flowers to stretch out the flower corner. Letters are some from my stash of chipboard letters, painted with Jo Sonja's Artists Colours Paint. The colour was "Rose Pink". To make them glossy, two layers of Dimensional Magic was added. The swirl underneath was painted and glossed the same way.

The next new-ish layout is one of me with a snake. Greens and creams used. A piece of scale paper was used as a border of the layout.A scolloped circular green card was cut in half and used with the photo added, journalling and title over the top. Photo was matted twice, once with the green scale paper and another piece of green card. Green brads were added on the page and larger ones in the centre of the two flowers. Ribbons are diagonal coming from the flowers. Ribbon tied through the card in the centre and around a few of the letters in the title. Dimensional Magic added to the letters for more dimension. To create the scale look around the edge of the page, I used a netting bag, one you can get at the supermarket with fruit, vegies and nuts come in. I taped down pieces of the netting and used a few colours of paint and ink across the page. Ink and paint also put around the edges without using the netting.
Yes, another page of my cat, Princess. Tiger stripe used as a border with brown the inside colour. The brown is slightly crunched and inked around the edges. Photo was put onto a piece of chipboard to make the photo more dominant. A page from an old dictionary I picked up at an old Book store is slid under the photo with the definition of 'tiger' highlighted by using bracket stamps. Two strips of tiger print was used along the bottom of the page and on the left hand side. Animal print ribbon added along the page with ric-rac I inked brown and another brown ribbon. Cat paw brads are above the photo and one on the bottom with pieces of cork. Two cork buttons are through the ribbon on the top of the page. The title was stamped (Stamps bought at Blossies Garage Sale, thanks Gail and Donna, what a bargain!) Another thing bought from the Blossies Garage Sale was a Dymo Label Maker with colourful tapes. The words "Princess" and "Little Tiger" are done with the label maker and put partly on the photo and the dictionary page.

Hey Guys, first Blog!!

After spending a week at Blossies for work experience and blogging for the Blossies Blog, it inspired me to get one myself with my stuff and ideas to share.

Today was a scrappin day at Blossies, this is one of the layouts i created with everything from there, called Dressing Daphney. That was one of the creative things i get to do when working there.

Layout includes ribbons and pearl string, velvet ric rac and pearl little buckles in the ribbon. Music paper is one of the many from Dark Room Door range, the brown is just a strip from a piece of a Franchiville paper and the music notes sheet from Blossies. The crocheted flowers are some from the bits and pieces you'll find on the front counter, pearl brads are in the centre of each. The little birdy was something Donna and I found when we had a cleaning spree and finally the title; assorted letters from my stash and distressed with two colours of Tim Holtz's inks.
