Monochromatic Scrapbooking

Ever since I saw this one on Gail’s blog I wanted to do one myself. The backing piece is American Crafts and the photo is matted in the same card, the photo has been distressed. Also used is a large paper doily underneath the photo. I have used Bella! butterflies and put them through the pasta machine with a dotty embossing folder, it looks quite impressive even though the photos don’t show much of it. Two Bazzil glittered paper strips used under the photo. On the right side I’ve gathered a piece of ribbon with a small piece of another paper strip. On top is a chain with two brads. Across the page is a small white satin ribbon tied into a bow and across the gathered ribbon, it also has a heart buckle through it. Under part of that is a piece of pom pom ribbon. To the left is a date, I have used Pink Paislee letters, Bella Blvd and Thickers. On the right top is the title, I have used two different types of Thickers and a Bella Blvd sticker. Another butterfly is at the top it has small Bella! brads in the centre, a line of other Bella! brads is next to the butterflies on the left hand side. A strip of Kaiser white pearls added to the top of the photo. I have then soaked the whole page in Glimmermist!!! I love making the page more sparkly.

Heres some close ups,

It was quite hard sticking to one colour I kept wanting to add more colours like orange and pink and more stuff, but my stash is lacking some white things and some different shades looked more yellow, so didn’t go there

Global Warming

I am currently working on a Biology Essay for Uni, the theme; climate change and its effect on two species abundance, I went to the library and took out a couple of books to read on the topic. (Did you know?? You can loan out 20 books at a time!!!)
I found this one, there is heaps of information and perfect as it has knowledge about the polar bear but as I was reading more about it I found it more interesting
I suggest this book as a good read; it goes into detail what humans are doing to our Earth and how it must be stopped. There are many different scenerios, how Earth is changing and for the next generation it will never be the same, some things never able to be reversed

Next time your at the library, find this short book to read

Also this week I have booked in for a Tropical Reef Snorkel at Seaworld, at the end of April in my holidays, I simply can't wait to go and snorkel with the reef sharks, rays and tropical fish. At the end of the year there is one step higher the Shark Encounter with the large man-eating sharks- in a tank of course. I wanted to do this in April but it books out so quickly (months in advance) so Im waiting till the end of the year and more University holidays.
Listening to the radio yesterday there was some prize for QLD VIP passes, listening I knew the song, my favourite band the All American Rejects and won two of them!!! So awesome, listening to my band finally paid off!!! Was stoked and then booked in for Seaworld now I can get in there for FREE.
Hmmm although Ive blogged no Uni work has been done yet.....

What happens when you give a box to the cat... Its so small but she still likes to sleep in it, most of the time Molly puts her head like this just to rest it while she sleeps

I think this one is the funniest... haha
Look at these pics I took the other day of our old boy Boots, he turned 12 a month ago and is still such a handsome cat.
