My Ride

This one I created last night, the backing piece is blue Bazzil Bling. I’ve used a scrap piece of pink Making Memories Paperie Houndstooth paper. The other piece is from Bella Blvd, which I have used a paper corner on. The two photos are matted in pink card and both have been punched with a corner rounder. A piece from a notepad and cut is above the Houndstooth piece. The Houndstooth has been cut into a scallop shape, I hand drew and cut out the shape. Journaling typed on Bazzil cardstock and cut into strips. The title consists of blue foam Thickers and pink glitter Thickers. Two large flowers with a pink, then blue flower and a button in the centre has been soaked in Glimmermist and placed near the title and above the journaling. To finish off the page I used hot pink thread and sewing machine and sewed a rectangle around the page.

Formal Album

Today I went to Blossies and discovered some albums I liked. There was a black one I bought for everyday layouts and then a hot pink one for my school formal pages. I have been looking for a light pink album but with help from Yvette and Mum I decided to go with hot pink and decorate the front with hot pink bits and pieces. I’ve used ribbons from Blossies, Celebrate Ribbons, Birch ribbon/trim, American Crafts Ribbon. I have also used a thick strip of pink fabric I had lying around. Along the piece of pink tulle there is a strip of pale pink Kaiser Pearls. Two tags are tied the tulle and have flowers on them, the tags are inked with light pink EK Success ink. One has a rose in the centre, the other a button. Tied around another piece of tulle is another tag, here I have used My Little Shoebox pink alpha letters which have been distressed, there is also a small flower, rose and pink pearl. This one has also been inked. I ripped out the back pocket where you’re supposed to fit a photo in and replaced it with a piece of Bazzil; it also fixes the ribbon to the album. In the centre of the Bazzil a large Paper Inklings rub-on with the title and theme of the album.

Teaching

I am going to be teaching again in January. The class is called Plentiful Pocket Pages on Sat 31st 11.00am-
1.00pm

Using the “We R Memory Keepers” divided page protectors and plenty of photos, create a layout with photos or any items of memorabilia matching the theme of the photos; there will still be space for journaling as well. A variety of photos, both vertical and horizontal are encouraged; make sure they can be cut into smaller photos and all relate to the same theme.  See sample in-store at Blossies.

Look forward to seeing you there

A label sticker from October Afternoon is part of the title with the word the in Pink Paislee letters over the top, which have been distressed with sand paper. Another Thicker letter & is used and is covered in Kindy Glitz. Along the bottom two metal frames used with one having another Label sticker underneath for the journaling. The other one has two flowers which are covered in Glimmermist along with the larger flower. The centres are the leftover semi-colons never used in a set of alpha stickers. A strip pf pink lace Birch ribbon underneath it with the end covered in pink Kaiser Pearls. A pink Heidi Swapp mirror heart and chipboard flourish; distressed with sand paper are also at the bottom of the page. To finish it off My Little Shoebox alphabet stickers on one of the frames.

Forever

Using a 8x10 photo doesn’t give you much room on a scrapbooking layout. I’ve matted the photo in pink and backed it in white Bazzil which was soaked in Glimmermist. A die-cut from the new Basic Grey range underneath the photo with the title along it, the title is pink glitter Thicker letters. Two flowers both Glimmermisted and a button in the centre is underneath it. A ribbon tied into a bow around the die-cut to finish it off.

Special Day

Well I just checked out my OP score as it was released today, had a batch of chocolate-chip panclarks and now checking out the blog, heres some more, they just keep coming and coming!!!

This one I wanted to focus on the invitation and place card I received for the formal event. The papers used by the school, seem to familiar (Blossies Papers) both mated in white linen card. The photo also mated in white linen card. White flower covered in Glimmermist with a black flower in the centre and a white rose in the centre of that, the edges are covered in Kindy Glitz to make it more Glitzy. Thin satin ribbon along the bottom with a smaller piece of pink lace, this is covered in a strip of white Kaiser Pearls. Title is metal charms I’ve had for about 5 years with white glitter Thickers. Small metal frame underneath the flower.

Glamorous

This is another page using We R Memory Keepers divided page inserts,  Ive used it to put some of my formal pictures together. Flowers added with buttons in the centre. A piece of ribbon in the middle insert is tied around the piece; it is ribbon that came from my corsage and a kept it. Two lines of pearls used also. Some photos are matted with one left original. The bottom right corner is where I journaled, by printing it off my laptop.

Princess

Background piece is from Bazzil. Large die-cut is from Making Memories Paperie Range. The photo is matted in pink Bazzil. Three small brads are next to the photo, on the bottom right corner, which are Bella! The pink paper is something from the stash, I’ve cut it into two pieces as to see more of the background colour underneath. The title is over that spot, which is glittered Bella! letters. A piece of stain pink ribbon tied around the “p”. Three Kaiser pink pearls are to the top left corner of the paper. It has a flower next to it, two other flowers also used, in the centre are small die-cut from Bella! also. Another piece of satin ribbon tied into a bow and then a bow again across the page and stuck down with a glue dot in the centre. Over the ribbon is a rhinestone flourish. A smaller pink rose is next to one of the flowers, I have used Kindy Glitz on the edges, and it worked quite well it is sitting on another smaller pink flower. Journaling is similar to the others, printed and cut into strips.

Ultraviolet

Background piece is purple Bazzil. Purple spotted paper from the Kaiser Airy Fairy range which I have torn down one side. Other purple butterfly paper is just a piece from the scrap box. The photo is double matted first in pink and then lavender purple. Two pieces of lace are across the page on a diagonal, first the pink and then the purple over the top, this is where the title is also, I’ve used pink and glitter letters both from Thickers. A strip of Kaiser pearls are across the purple lace. Purple and pink flowers are in the bottom right corner, the small white roses are the centres. I have pulled out the wire and the green leaves. For the journaling I’ve typed it up, printed and cut into strips. A piece of velvet purple is next to the flowers and has been gathered. A thinner pink piece is over the top of that.

Sunshine

Background piece is light yellow Bazzil. Photo also matted in Bazzil, pink. Houndstooth paper is from Making Memories, Paperie range. Other strip of paper is from Franchville. The circle die-cut is from a die-cut sheet, although I dont remember who from. Small pink journaling circle is a Heidi Swapp journaling spot and has a large pink flower, next is two other flowers, all have a yellow gem brad in the centre, next to the main flower is a die cut from Kaisers Die-cut Elements; Childs Play. Ric-rac ribbon is from Craft Queen and the other three are Birch ribbons. I’ve thread a smaller pink ribbon through a yellow one, there is a pink lace across the bottom of the page. The same yellow ribbon is tied around the pink die-cut element. For journaling, it has been typed out; the font used Century Gothic (one of my favourite fonts in Microsoft Word) and cut into strips. The title is made up of Kaiser Chipboard Alphabet #2, painted in yellow paint and then covered in Kindy Glitz.

Glitz and glam

I’ve finally started to scrap all the photos of my friends and I, I decided to do a page per page so it is individual and unique. Pretty pink and aqua, sounds like a great combination (just ask Gail) but agree the colours are great together. Background piece is Bazzil. Large pink die-cut is a piece from the Kaiser Childs Play range, its one on the backs of the papers (looking at the back of papers might surprise you). I’ve traced the shape from another piece; it was a Making Memories Paperie die-cut. The smaller frame is one from My Minds Eye, its one I’ve had in the stash for a while, it is cut n half and both pieces used on the page. Photo matted in Bazzil also, a pretty pink colour, I’ve gone through quite a bit of the pink, and have to restock. Smaller die cuts and bracket with the title and journaling are the Die Cut Elements for the Childs Play range. The bracket it mounted with foam tape. The title consists of random chipboard letters from the stash all painted in Making Memories Scrapbooking colours; Capri. The other letters are from Pink Paislee and have been distressed with sand paper. Both large flowers I’ve put foam tape on each layer to add extra dimension. Three loops of pink (not sure really what it’s called) ribbon under the flowers and over the title. The roses on top are the largest pink ones, I have pulled the wire out of them, if you cut it off it is still doesn’t sit flat, pulling out the wire allows them to sit flat and they don’t fall apart, I’ve also cut/ripped of the green leaves as they didn’t match with the page. Thick aqua ribbon is from Blossies, along with the felt hearts over the top. Smaller piece of pom-pom ribbon just from the stash. Gem flourishes over the top of the ribbon, flower and journaling die-cut. Two sets of white pearls of the frame to finish it off.
