Asian photo fun

I started with the pink Bazzil piece and ‘the girls paperie’ papers I wanted to use (these papers can be found at Blossies and are fairly new). I thought these had a vintage look to them so distressed the edges of every piece I used on the layout. I have used two 6x4 photos which I have matted on the same piece of green Bazzil cardstock. Underneath the Bazzil is a green spotted paper, also the girl’s paperie. To the right of the photo there is a large Bella! flower with a Blossies flower in the middle of that following with a Kaiser and another Blossies flower. In the top right corner there is a XL Heidi Swapp photo corner. Below the photo I have cut a scalloped shape out of the flower paper and distressed it, and lifted up the scallops as well. Across the whole page is a piece of pink Celebrations ribbon tied into a bow with a pin through the bow. Underneath the scalloped paper is a piece of Birch lace. Also under the photo is some vintage trim from Spotlight. This is also where the title is for the page. I have used three different types of Thicker alpha letters and next to this a journalling sticker from My Minds Eye, this has the date on it which is Basic Grey alpha stickers. There are also two flowers; Kaiser and Blossies. Above the photo on the left hand side is another piece of the paper with a My Minds Eye tag above it, on this I have used Little Yellow Bicycle letters to write ‘Memories’. The edge of the page was inked in light green.

Xmas 1998

THIS IS NOT THE REAL COLOUR- (My camera wont pick up the green and has made it a yukky colour no matter how I try to fix it!) To see it in the real it will be at Blossies soon!
For this one I wanted to use some Cosmo Cricket papers which are new in at Blossies. I found this old photo in the pile of photos to be scrapped and though it was perfect as there were bright colours in the clothing we wore. Bazzil cardstock is used as a backing piece, and the matted piece for the photo. I have used two strips of the paper on the page and another piece for the chipboard tag next to the photo; this had an orange brad securing it to the page. To the right of the page I have used many flowers and bits and pieces; Blossies, Doodlebug Design, Kaiser Flowers also with a string tied orange flower (I do not know who made this). I have also used a crotched flower with a large orange brad in the centre, this brad has just been waiting to be used and it had to be something special. Below the crotched flower is a Kaiser felt heart, above the flower is a Doodlebug Design heart. Across the whole page is a larger piece of orange organza tied into a bow, over the top of that is a smaller pink grosgrain tied into a knot. These both can be found at Blossies. Underneath the ribbon and flowers is a long piece of felt ‘Scribble’ these areQueen and Co. and also new at Blossies. For the journalling I have used a Bella Blvd sticker and written in black pen. To the left is also the title I have used red foil Thicker letters and pink Bella Blvd stickers also, both of these have been distressed. Above the title is a Hambly rub-on and under the ‘1998’ title is a Hambly Screen print.

Beckham

Yes another cat page, this one is of our good friend Andrea who has this gorgeous ginger boy. I have also kept to using Kraft for this page and matted in Bazzil. Next to it is a piece of wood grain paper from My Minds Eye, I think this is the last of one sheet I bought, it’s great to use up those scraps. At the bottom of the page I have used a large piece of brown fabric, I have a large stash of fabrics as well, adding texture makes the pages stand out alot more, I love to add texture and layers. I have gathered up the fabric and sewn across it three times, over the top is a thin piece of vintage ribbon which I have stapled to the page and either end. Also over the top of the fabric is thin string tied around the page three times and into a bow. Up above the fabric is a wooden heart with two small pieces of string just tied into a knot through it. Next to this is a felt flower with a little cat brad. For the title I have used black Thicker letters, above this is the journalling. This is a Kaiser rub-on which i have cut to fit into the space I wanted above the lettering of the title. On the left side of the photo is two piece of brown vintage ribbon, from Blossies. It was also the last I had of that ribbon, so overall I have used up a few bits and pieces creating this layout.

Adorable

This is my favourite photo of the kittens, soaking it up in the sunlight. For this page I wanted to use Earthy/brown colours as it matched the colour of the little kittens. The orange/brown paper is from October Afternoon and the other blue/brown flourish paper is from Bella!/Ruby Rockets range The Summerhouse. The photo is matted in brown Bazzil and the backing piece Kraft. I don’t use Kraft very often but it matches the little kittens and other cats so well. The mesh-looking ribbon is from Blossies, I have just gathered it underneath the piece of Bella! paper. Around the whole page I have tied a thin piece of string three times and into a bow, the bow also has a little cat charm tied into it. To the right of the page is a die-cut with journalling on it. This came from one of the Kaiser books that had the free stuff in it, I found it matched what I was doing, and using up those freebies means there is less stash lying around! Next to this is a chipboard circle, this is from My Minds Eye; Abbey Road with the cat button over the top and thin string tied through the button. A felt flower is also next to the die-cut which has a cat brad in the centre, these both are from Blossies. To finish it off I have used My Little Bicycle orange glittered letters for the title.

The kittens today all shared their first drink of kitten milk. Not from Molly but from their other mother me, it was so cute watching them try and figure out how to lap at it, they cleaned the plate up!! I wasnt able to get a picture of it but will next time!!

This is how I went to bed last night, with them taking up quite a bit of the bed.

This is them sharing a meal last night of some fish- they love it! How cute are they all around the one plate trying to get closer than the one next to them.

The other day I went out to Pet Stock and bought them a toy, it makes noises has plenty of things to attack and they love it!

And one of these cute little mice to play with aswell

Theres HOW many in the bed??

It seems to Molly that sharing my room with her and the kittens isnt enough but now I have to share my bed aswell. They have learnt to climb up my bed and to sleep with me. I have to be very careful now not to squish them when sleeping as they climb through my legs.

Its amazing how they can sleep in the most awkward positions;

Molly doesnt need to be there for them to just laze around with me

I thought Id better wash my sheets as Im allergic to cats and instead they climb on my dressing gown and dooner on my matress yesterday morning

Soaking it up in the sun, I love how their fluffy coats glisten in the sunlight!

This morning sleeping in the sun;

Last night we decided to give Molly some fresh chicken breast for dinner. After a minute or so we looked down to see that little Ginger was eating with her, it was so cute. Like mother like son.

Heres some others Ive taken the last few days.
