Favourite things-Everything!

I know I need to do another post on my favourite things so here is another one. The thing is I love flowers and ribbon and well basically everything, so here is a few of my favourite pages Ive created the past few years.

Wedding Car

Last weekend Dad went off to a wedding with his car, she was to be in the wedding of a mate he use to work with.It was to occupy a black new Holden ute. Heres dad looking very shmick!! and of course the HQ looking great with a polish and buff. Dad was very proud of his car this day and it was quite exciting to get dressed up for it, the bride and bridesmades were driven in his car.

Again...

Most people are saying 'again' when I tell them Ive done another shark dive! I just love it, here are some photos of the second shark dive with my Aunty Belinda (Im on the right!)

Some of the sharks look blurry as its mating season, there are 2 males to 1 female and the males are swimming alot faster as they're a little frisky! haha

Marathon Crop

Dream....

Last night I had a dream about scrapbooking, Ive been told by Yvette that she gets ideas for scrapbooking in her dreams but I never have and thought what the??
But anywhoo I had a dream about getting published for my scrapbooking and it reminded me that I havent done a  blog post about my great news (actually I knew this a little while ago but wasnt quite sure when the book was coming out) soooo I have two pages going into "The Big Book of Scrapbook Ideas" by Memory Makers Magazine over in America!
Unfortunately I cant post the pages on here because of copyright but they have been blogged before before I knew they had been chosen. I submitted them back in April/May and knew a few months later. I have now been told I will not recieve my pages back until April/May of next year!! So that is when the book is going to be released, will keep you posted while I wait! (Really want my layouts back- the formal album is incomplete without them)
To finish off today here is something I found while searching on the net. I just love cuteeee cats

Favourite things; Flowers

I LOVEEEE flowers, nearly every page has a flower of some sort used on it, I cant help it I have to add more flowers, here are some pages with well more than just a flower used on the page

Also use them on cards;

There are again quite a few uses for flowers

• Layer them
• Fold in half under photos and different parts of your page
• Ink the edges
• Cut flowers from patterened paper and layer them
• Layer flowers with different colours and sizes
• Embellish the centre by using brads, buttons,
• Sew in the centre in a random pattern as shown here
• Paint them, crackle paint is effective
• Tie a piece of ribbon into a knot for the centre
• Spray them with Glimmermist or cover in Dimensional Magic



Favourite things; Ribbon

I have a few favourite products to use when I scrapbook and ribbons has to be one of the top favourite! I have sooooo much ribbon and try to use some on nearly every layout. Here are a few of my favourite layouts with ribbon incorporated into them.

There are so many uses for ribbon;

• Tie them in knots, multiple knots and bows
• Staple them to the page
• Stick them to the page with tape
• Tie around the whole page
• Use them as borders around the page of photos
• use small strips of ribbon to cover chipboard shapes;

School Days Layout

I printed some photos of the last day of school last year and finally created a page with them
Here it is, simple page with a thick strip of wave paper folded and a thick piece of vintage ribbon and a few bits and pieces. I have used a piece of drift wood and real shells

October Afternoon

October Afternoon papers are so pretty! I love the new "seaside" range with all the fishy pages I do. And what better time to create a page a page using October Afternoon then in the afternoon and in the month of Ocotber hahaha.
Here is a double page I created of my first scuba dive in the tank of sharks at Underwater World. ( I cant wait on the 6th October I am going AGAIN with my aunty as she is visiting from NSW and were going together), I just cant get enough of diving with these awesome sharks!!
