Busy busy busy

My Uni break is coming closer to the end and Ive barely done any scrapbooking :(
Most of the time Ive been working, hanging with friends or just vegging out at home watching movies and chilling in the pool. Thank goodness the rain has finally stopped!

A few weeks ago I helped on a weekend down in Brisbane clearing up after the floods. Dad, my brother and I were in Yeronga cleaning up the streets and peoples homes and belongings- it was just a few streets compared to the whole amount of Brisbane going under. Bloody hard work for the day but was great to get in there and help out.

Since then Ive donated bags of Avon products I had here to go out to the Esk region and Lockyer Valley, hope ladies out there can use some of it as its sitting here doing nothing- Mum went through the spare room and gave kitchen bits and her work gave heaps of boxes of glasses. Mums also been doing fundraising through a lady Julie Cox who is making yummmyyy cupcakes and then giving the money straight to the flood victims, already raised $1000 and hopes to make another $1000
And today I managed to do a page; really do need to get into scrapbooking more but also need the inspiration. Maybe some new excting photos to play with. Heres the page:
KS CJ
  • Bazzil Cardstock and photo matted in Bazzil Bling Cardstock

Neglected

Yep I did neglect the blog for a little while, Christmas and New Years ended up being really busy!

Anywhoo heres a scrapbooking page I made for my  best friend for Christmas, there is a little glare because of the frame.
Heres a Christmas Card I made:
I cut three circles of fabric to make the suffolk puffs, each one has a button sewn into the middle of it. Then the three puffs glued onto the card. The backing piece is Kraft Cardstock with distressed edges. A chipboard flourish inked in light brown is at the bottom of the puffy things. The scalloped die-cut came from a Making Memories- Paperie Notepad- I'm amazed as to how much of that I still have left! Around the green die-cut is thin string wrapped randomly around it before I stuck that to the card. To finish the card off I tied a piece of lime green spotted ribbon into a bow around the whole card.

Close up;
My new boss at the shoe shop also does great cooking. For Christmas I recieved a basket of hand-baked goodies. The Lemon Merignue pies were amazing!

A few weeks back we had a Secret Santa at Annettes house for Christmas, this was my little gift; Scrapbooking products! Cant wait to use them!
