Paintings and around the home
More and more art to blog....
Ive also done alot of painting too;
Here are some elephant paintings I painted for my sister at the end of last year
And here's one of a macaw painting I did for Caine; hes the new man in my life and I couldn't imagine being without him, his favourite animal is a blue and gold macaw so I had to paint one. This is a little different to just painting; I love adding texture, so there is a chipboard "c" in there and broken pieces of mirror that have been painted over. Of course a whole heap of texture paste too.
There are more painting on the way; keep an eye out on further blog posts

More frames
Ive also got some other frames Ive been working on;
A shell frame; a wooden frame covered in shells, starfish, coral, spirula, sea urchin pieces and just really awesome shells.
At my workplace we had to remove a lot of Balloon cotton (weed species) which was home to Monarch Butterflies, although being replaced with a more native species. I had found a collection of dead butterflies through this time. I pinned them out properly (who knew my entomology skills at uni were going to be put to use!) and then put them onto paper and framed them.
And the finished frames!

New crafty adventure
Keep an eye on this blog. I have a few new ideas for a crafty venture. I love making crafty and unique pieces of art. I've decided to start a little hobbie business to include these things
Ill start a Facebook site called CJ Inc. and sell at markets and online. Pieces will be one of a kind and uniquely styled. Ill post bits and pieces on the blog too as well as my other crafts.
I've decided I have wayyyyyy to many unfinished projects so have started finishing them off.
Here's a sneak peak of something I'm going to create for my crafty business

Old furniture makeover
I have a love for old and antique furniture and have given some a new look with white paint and made them shabby
A corner bookshelf
A dolls house found online, painted to look like an old beach hut, now has shells and candles in it in our new house
There are also some cool finds I have yet to try and restore
Including an old ice box; picked up from a swap meet:
A 1933 Singer sewing machine; this one does not work but would love to get it fixed so it does, Another find at a swap meet.
And now for my truely special antique piece a 1903 Singer sewing machine with the sewing table and is fully functional! This was a present for valentines day from Caine and I absolutely love it.
And aren't these little bobbins just adorable! They came with the machine and stand; just the cutest!
