Nearly there...

Nearly there.... Nearly finished this album, look forward to scrapping something else soon. I visited Blossies today and of course got a few goodies, some which I have already used. This layout started with the chipboard frame I painted pink, I made three 5x7 photos fit inside the frames, one Bo Bunny paper and one blank where the title is. The title is pink glitter Thicker letters. In the frame where I have used the spotted paper is a paper flower from Blossies with a Prima flower in the centre and a button. An October Afternoon Journalling sticker is next to it.On this is a bunch of pink buttons. A thick white satin ribbon through an authentic buckle is across the page and under the flower. A light pink think organza is across this and tied in the centre of the buckle. This buckle I’ve had in the stash for a year or so, it actually was a buckle from the dogs collar that broke and I kept it, looks quite rustic from the years of use!! Two other pieces of ribbon tied around the pink piece. Next to the flower is a bracket from the same alphas as the title and next to that a metal locket. The locket and buckle have light pink Kaiser gem strips on them. Along the left of the frame is a line of buttons, all the buttons on the page have been sewn on with white thread. On the other side of the frame is a Birch pink lace and a paper flower folded in half. To finish the page I have inked in darker pink.

All American Rejects

Today I’ve decided to blog my artwork I did in Year 12 Art at school last year. I did it on the theme of my favourite band; the All American Rejects. Using heaps of my scrapping and craft supplies I created the work sing a collage of pictures, music sheets and lyrics. Shellac varnish gives it the brown colour, many many coats of it.

Live.Laugh.Love

I think its just too hard to describe how I’ve done everything on my pages since I use so much stuff on them. The pink circle paper is Heidi Swapp and the other pink striped paper is Imanaginisce. This I have doodled on with white pen. Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp and My Little Shoebox papers are the flowers. A large brad in the centre is the same papers. Small butterflies are Heidi Swapp, two of them Invisibles. A Heidi Swapp journaling block under on of the paper flowers. Large white butterfly and red brads are Bella! Paper flowers are from Blossies. Bits and pieces all from the stash. Hero Arts purple flower gems. Chipboard flourish covered on flock. Title in light pink foam Thicker letters. Kaiser white gems around the chipboard circle. It has been painted in Making Memories ‘Sea Foam” paint. One corner has had ribbons tied around it, some are Blossies the others Celebrations. Edge of page has been distressed. Page has been covered in Glimmermist.

Think I need some Organization

Today I thought I'd do a post on my scrapping cupboard, this is how it looks everyday. Yes its messy but I thought why bother trying to organize it when it always ends up this messy.

Imanginisce Layout

Ok, this one I went to the extreme with LAYERING. I got the inspiration for this layout from Sam Hauzer's blog. All of the papers used are from the new Imaginisce range Lucy Bird. I’ve cut a large circle, two strips and started adding layers. Paper flowers are from Blossies, Kaiser and Doodlebug Design. All of the centres in the flowers are made using the paper and brads I had in the stash, all covered with the paper. They are then covered in Dimensional Magic. All of the flowers have Kindy Glitz on them. Strips of paper gathered in places. Ribbons used are some from Blossies and American Crafts. The title is white Pink Paislee letters and Heidi Swapp hot pink chipboard letters, which have been distressed. A pink/white die-cut used is from a Heidi Swapp paper, this has My Little Shoebox letters on it with the names in the photo; these letters have been distressed. Paper roses also used and covered in Kindy Glitz. An orange crotched heart and flower also from the stash. In the top left corner is a small flower, a strip has been folded like a concertina and held down with Hot Glue Gun. A sticker ‘love’ is a My Little Shoebox word. The top right corner has a Heidi Swapp pink swirl XL photo corner. Above the die-cut is a small bird, this is a Lucy Bird Snag’em Stamps with has been stamped onto the paper, cut out and then mounted onto the page with foam tape. The belly of the bird is the back of a Kaiser paper. Also used was a Flower Stamp also from the same range chipboard heart is also used near the flowers and gathered paper. I have used Plaid Soft Flock; Baby Pink and then coated it in Dimensional Magic. Back piece is an embossed Bazzil, to finish it of the edges have been inked in bright green ink.

This one Ive included plenty of close ups as there is just so much stuff used on this layout;

We R Memory Keepers Page Inserts

This page I wanted to use up all the extra small photos I had left over from the other pages I did of my friends. Using these We R Memory Keepers page inserts is so easy and uses up photos to make the album organized. None of these photos are cut to a particular size I just do it roughly until it looks right. Title is My Little Shoebox stickers. Back piece is pink Bazzil.

I am teaching a class on how to use these pages on the 31st January, book in at Blossies

My Style

This one I started with the Bazzil, a paper doily, a piece of Delish paper and My Mind’s Eye paper, ripped in places underneath the photo. The photo is matted in the same Bazzil cardstock. Next to the photo is a pink lace trim and a clear plastic butterfly. The title is also on this side, it consists of Thicker pink glitter letters, Pink Paislee alphas, Heidi Swapp Hot Pink Self-Adhesive Chipboard letters and My Little Shoebox alphas; these have also been distressed. Underneath the photo is a felt butterfly, this one I have traced around a chipboard butterfly. I cut out the felt one, inked the edges and around the top in light pink Versafine Ink. I’ve now found what my style is LAYERING as I like to put something on top and under a particular embellishment for my page. Under the butterfly is a Heidi Swapp Journalling die-cut and under that is two paper flowers, now on top of the butterfly is a gem flourish. This also covers the ribbon across to bottom of the page. A thicker pink ribbon is just gathered randomly and a light pink organza tied into a bow over the top of that. There is also another clear butterfly next to the felt one under this is a Bella! stamped butterfly. To the right of the butterfly is a stamped flourish, this is where the organza goes over the top, the ribbon also has a heart pearl buckle threaded through it. At the top of the photo a Basic Grey flourish stamped in pink. To finish off the page I covered the whole thing in Glimmermist.

Isnt he cute

Last week a friend and I visited Seaworld down at the Gold Coast. Recently at the park they have created "Ray Reef" here you can pat and feed the stingrays. I fell in love with this one perticular stingray, he was the shape of a manta-ray but had white spots, a two metre long tail, a beautiful yellow eye and a different head to normal stingrays. I managed to snap some photos while using the underwater camera.

Using Things you have lying around

For this one I used up heaps of bits and pieces I had lying around. The background piece is Bazzil; the photo is also matted in pink Bazzil which is then inked with light blue. I have used a journaling piece from Making Memories Paperie range

The large card flower is a My Minds Eye die-cut from way back, which has paper flowers and a rose in the centre. Above the flower is the journaling which I have typed and cut into strips. Underneath is a chipboard frame which I have embossed in light blue, this was done twice as to make it thicker. Underneath the large flower is a paper flower cut in half, a small crotched flower with a paper one in the centre and a flocked Doodlebug Design brad. Underneath the flower is a pink lace with a scalloped pink piece, this is an October Afternoon die-cut sheet, a few years go it was a Christmas one. A small piece of Celebrations blue ric-rac and a plastic brad under that. A circle Heidi Swapp die-cut is underneath the flowers; next to the circle is an October Afternoon journaling label

The title is Pink Paislee letters which have been distressed, next to it is a Basic Grey pearl flourish. Around the page is a blue spotted thick ribbon with a smaller organza Celebrations ribbon, there is also a Birch pink trim along the blue ribbon.

At the top of the page I’ve ripped the background piece and ripped it down and folded out the two pieces. I have used a piece of paper which would be hidden under the photo to be seen under the ripped piece. A flower with paper rose under the ripped piece. To finish the page is a pink bracket die-cut mounted with foam tape. It is from the Kaiser Childs Play range. The whole page was coated in Glimmermist before adding the photo.

Beautful

I started with the photo matted in pink Bazzil; it was then placed over a piece of Kaiser Sweets range. I have used a piece of pink spotted Basic Grey Paper and a piece of My Minds Eye paper, using both sides of the double sided paper. The background piece is a Heidi Swapp paper. The title is a “headlines” from Doodlebug Design stickers. The thick white satin ribbon with a yellow pin pushed through the knot is Victoria Spencer Ribbon Collection flowers have been used in the bottom corner with paper roses in the centre. Three butterflies are up further on the page above the flowers. The three smaller ones are Bella! and the larger felt butterfly from Heidi Swapp. Two small lines of Kaiser gems are used on the page to finish it off.

Yes Im behind in the phase of creating fabric flowers, so I thought I better try it out and wanted to make fabric/paper flowers for this layout as I had plenty of pink/red fabrics to use up/ the fabrics are scraps (Spotlight fabric years ago) plus with some paper; Basic Grey, My Minds Eye and We R Memory Keepers. The photo is matted in pink and distressed

The pink spotted paper which has been folded and a strip under the photo is Basic Grey, the other two pieces is My Mind’s Eye; one is just the reverse of the same paper. The title is pink Rose Moka letters. Other Kaiser small white letters underneath the flowers.Felt heart/circle from stash. In the centre of the fabric flowers is crocheted flowers from Blossies and a Bella! brad in the centre of those.

Chipboard swirls are just from the stash, along with the pins and ‘girls rule’ brad. A piece of lace has been tied and two pins pushed through the knot. Two strips of Kaiser gems are used, one on the photo and the other next to the flowers. In the centre of the fabric flowers is crocheted flowers from Blossies and a Bella! brad in the centre. Christmas Cards

These cards I created for the girls at Blossies for Christmas last year. All of the die-cuts are from the same My Mind Eye die-cut sheet.
